Orchidopexy is a surgery done when one testis has not come down into the scrotum. It is usually performed in childhood or early adulthood to prevent future problems like infertility or testicular cancer. The surgeon makes a small incision, gently brings the testis down, and fixes it in place. The surgery is done under anesthesia, and the hospital stay is short — often just a day. Recovery is smooth, and pain or swelling is mild. The main advantage is normal testis position, appearance, and function.
